Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Jesus, in your mercy, please renew our hearts and our minds. Wipe away the worries, transgressions and fears of yesterday and set our minds and hearts toward you and your ways.

Thought to try: Make a two-column prayer list with the headings ‘Things I can’t change’ and ‘Things I can change’. Ask God for faith and patience with the former and wisdom and courage to act on the later.
